Meet Kebby!

The official mascot of the 2027 Canada Games

As preparations ramp up in Quebec City, another exciting milestone in the countdown has been reached with the unveiling of Kebby, the official mascot of the 2027 Canada Games!

Brimming with energy and team spirit, Kebby will accompany the public all the way to the winter of 2027, shining a light on the host city across the country.

A mascot born from the public's imagination

Kebby was created through a contest launched in spring 2025, and is the brainchild of Anna Munroe, a resident of Sainte-Foy—Sillery—Cap-Rouge.

Among nearly 800 drawings received, her concept inspired by the ermine—a lively, clever little animal symbolic of Québec’s northern spirit—won the hearts of the jury.

Like the athletes of the Canada Games, the ermine embodies speed, tenacity, and agility. Its white winter coat evokes the beauty and vitality of the cold season, while its name nods to La Petite Hermine, the ship whose final destination was Québec during Jacques Cartier’s 1535 voyage.

A simple, heartfelt and unifying name

The name Kebby is a warm tribute to Québec, the host city of the Games.

Short, warm, and easy to remember, it perfectly captures the spirit of unity and pride that will define the 2027 Canada Games.

An ambassador on the move

Over the next 18 months, Kebby will travel throughout the region to meet the public.

The mascot will take part in community, sporting, and cultural events—bringing energy, smiles, and team spirit everywhere she goes.

A true symbol of unity and pride, Kebby will build connections between citizens, the sports community, and the broader Canada Games family.
