At the heart of the 2027 Canada Games: health, a sport in its own right

April 23, 2026

As the 2027 Canada Games approach, excitement is building, and all eyes naturally turn to the athletes preparing to push their limits. But behind every performance, another team works behind the scenes to ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible: the health care team.

As an official partner of the 2027 Canada Games, Dessercom will play a key role in the event’s success. With over fifty-five years of expertise, the company is recognized throughout Quebec for its leadership in pre-hospital emergency services, non-emergency medical transport, and medical support at major events.

During the Games, Dessercom will coordinate medical services and operate the polyclinic. Deployed across all competition and activity sites, paramedics and healthcare professionals will ensure a safe and reassuring environment for athletes, volunteers, and the public.

Beyond medical response, the Dessercom team’s commitment is also reflected in its active participation in sports and community life, notably by taking part in numerous charitable sporting challenges each year: cycling, running, rock climbing, CrossFit, and more! This involvement echoes the fundamental values of the Canada Games: discipline, solidarity, and pushing one’s limits.

As Dany Tremblay, Head of Operations, Pre-Hospital Emergency Services – Eastern Sector at Dessercom and Coordinator of Medical Services for the 2027 Canada Games, points out: “At Dessercom, we are proud to contribute, as a partner, to the success of the Canada Games. This involvement allows us to leverage our expertise in medical service planning and operations coordination, working closely with all of our partners.

Our priority is to provide effective, safe, and well-coordinated medical services for the benefit of athletes, clinic users, volunteers, and spectators. As an athlete, I firmly believe in the importance of offering medical services that are effective and tailored to the realities of sports operations. ”

At the 2027 Canada Games, athletic excellence relies on a solid, people-centered, and responsible organization. Thanks to Dessercom’s expertise and the commitment of its teams, we are building an event that lives up to our ambitions: safe, high-performing, and unifying!
